Awana
Due to recent increases in Covid cases in Champaign County and in accordance with CDC guidelines, the Governor of Illinois, and mandates/recommendations from local authorities, we will suspend AWANA until the evening of January 6th. Please check for pertinent updates about the remainder of the AWANA year.
Awana Clubs
As children enter into the pivotal elementary years, our Elementary curriculum ensures that kids are not only knowledgeable of God's Word but are able to apply His truth to their lives and face anything as disciples of Christ.
Cubbies
Cubbies® nurtures the budding faith of preschoolers and celebrates their desire to explore all that God has created. This two year preschool ministry curriculum features exciting games, storytelling, puppet shows, and biblical teaching as well as take-home activities and tools.
Sparks - Grades K-2
Sparks® ignites a child’s curiosity about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. This three year early elementary school ministry curriculum features exciting games, engaging activities, biblical teaching and media resources for kids and leaders.
T & T - Grades 3-6
T&T® explores the concept of grace by focusing on the character and nature of God, identity of Christ, as well as the structure and format of the Bible. This four year upper elementary school ministry curriculum is created to ensure that kids and leaders connect through God's Word.

Bad Weather/COVID Cancellation Policy: If Rantoul City Schools close anytime during the day due to bad weather, Awana Clubs will not meet that night. If through the AWANA season new mandates on COVID are released the church will respond accordingly. If we decide to cancel Club after school is out, notice of Club closing will be posted on the BBC & BBC Awana Facebook pages and the Awana status page. Please check one of these for information. Close notices will post by 5pm on Wednesday nights.
COVID RULES
In order that we might do our utmost to help ensure the safety of our AWANA ministers and clubbers both, we have instituted new measures in accordance with CDC and local governance guidelines.
- Clubbers will line up on the sidewalk on the marked lines to facilitate social distancing as we admit them.
- Sparks will go downstairs and use the downstairs restrooms through the night. T&T will go upstairs and use the foyer restroom through the night. We will keep the two groups separated through the evening.
- Our evening will be abridged this year and will begin at 6:30 with a 7:30 end time. We will open the doors at 6:15 to facilitate safe transitions. Please be prompt with these times.
- Coats, backpacks, and etc. will be kept with your child for the duration of the evening.
- Our clubbers will be kept a minimum of 6 feet apart and their belongings with them. The seating will be marked and our adults will be trained and ready to help all of our students get the most out of AWANA safely.
- This year our games will be more group oriented and will be enjoyed from our seats. Students will not be asked or encouraged to get closer than 6 feet.
- Masks are encouraged according to standing CDC guidelines.
- If through the AWANA season new mandates on COVID are released the church will respond accordingly.
